Sound Proximity
A downloadable Tech Demo for Windows
Hello, this is my second project in unreal. For this project I wanted to test out proximity and how various objects could change sounds based on how close they are. I used FMOD for creating sound objects and automating the parameters in game. Unreal has some nice tools for calculating the distance between objects and FMOD allows you to adjust the interpolation so you have some nice control over how everything works.
If you manipulate the objects in this map to come closer to one another, you'll find they change sound. Find all 4 flowers through the map, and set them down next to the big flower in the middle for a surprise.
This game is best used with headphones or stereo speakers for finding the objects hidden in the level.
